What Sparked My Creativity?
Have you ever seen a new business idea, and think “I could do that”, or even “I wish I had the guts to do that”? Because…. same. I let the idea of what I thought success meant pull me away from what could actually be the *thing* I could do.
I watched people I knew in the last ten years reach hit milestones or end goals, and I sat for so long just watching. Envying. It wasn’t until I left my full time job in 2022 that I took full control in my creative journey, and allowed myself to be different.
I loved creating content. I loved engaging with others who just wanted a sense of community. If it wasn’t for that desire, I am not sure I would have ever started The Lost Huntress of Lidith.
This wasn’t because I didn’t want to write. That idea couldn't be farther from the truth. The desire to put more of something out there, to help people, to resonate with people, was all I ever wanted to do.
Writing my debut adult fantasy novel was more than just a creative endeavor. It is a part of who I am, who I wanted to be all of this time, even as a lone college graduate in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in writing.
So what really sparked this journey? Yes, of course, my love for reading books by Marissa Meyer, SJM, and Rebecca Yarros help, but at the end of the day it was YOU. It was people who inspired me to take control of my career and future.
And for that…
I thank you.
